Chewy’s Dental Chew Bones
Packaging Design & Product Development for all natural, long-lasting dog treats.
Chewy’s Dental Chew Bones are made of all natural, superfood ingredients that dogs will love to devour. These guilt-free treats are packed with essential vitamins and minerals that support healthy development.
Chewy’s formula was created in response to consumer research that highlights the value of natural ingredients being the top decision driver for passionate pet parents. I worked directly with suppliers to develop these dog treats, providing direction on ingredients that are popular among humans and selecting options that are beneficial to the health of dogs.
To convey the messaging of Chewy’s natural formula, I created the packaging design for the product line. Sustainable pouches are made of recyclable kraft paperboard and compostable film in replace of plastic. The front of the packs are simplified down to key details. Neutral, organic-inspired colors and imagery of fresh ingredients represent the flavor and formula quality. Photos of dogs are included on each pack to convey the appropriate dog size in relation to treat size and maximize on people’s love for animals.
The product line was developed to present to a variety of retailers. Large retailers were offered the opportunity to customize their line of treats by adjusting the flavors and/or modify the packaging to fit within their private label branding.
