Translating iconic Disney stories into collectible beauty experiences
Sigma Beauty partnered with Disney to create limited-edition beauty collections inspired by iconic Disney stories. The challenge was translating each property's distinct visual world into beauty products that felt authentic to Disney while remaining cohesive with Sigma Beauty.
Rather than simply applying licensed artwork to existing products, I looked for opportunities to make the storytelling part of the product itself—using custom components, character details, color, pattern, finishes, and packaging to create a unique experience for each collection.
The success of the initial collaboration led to four annual Disney x Sigma Beauty collections, creating an ongoing partnership that expanded with each new property. My work established a repeatable creative approach for translating Disney's iconic stories into distinctive Sigma Beauty experiences.
I carried the storytelling through the smallest product details, from character imprints and custom shapes to brush handles, palette interiors, beauty bags, and specialty finishes. Each element was designed to create a collectible experience while working within the practical requirements of cosmetic manufacturing.
