Sigma Beauty Packaging Refresh

My Role: Packaging Design Lead · Brand Development · Creative Direction · Production Oversight

Translating a brand refresh into a scalable packaging system

Sigma Beauty was undergoing a brand refresh, creating an opportunity to rethink how the brand showed up at retail. The existing packaging varied significantly across product categories, while some products relied on plastic packaging that no longer aligned with evolving consumer expectations.

As a contributor to the brand refresh, I redesigned Sigma's packaging system to create a more cohesive and elevated retail presence while transitioning products from plastic to paperboard.

The material change created a new challenge: without a clear window, consumers could no longer see what was inside the package. I addressed this by introducing stylized product photography and more detailed product descriptions, turning the packaging into both a visual brand statement and a tool for product education.

I developed and oversaw the packaging system across multiple product categories, working through artwork development, photo art direction, production, and vendor coordination to ensure the new designs remained cohesive from concept through final production.

The result was a more cohesive, elevated, and consumer-focused retail presence that gave Sigma a stronger visual system to build on as the brand continued to grow.
