Package Design, Visual Merchandising Display, & Photo Art Direction for revolutionary cosmetic tools.
Well known for their innovative beauty solutions, Sigma Beauty created an instant makeup remover for cosmetic brushes known as the Sigma Switch, revolutionizing everyday makeup application.
The challenge was to create packaging that clearly communicates to the consumer the function and purpose of this new product in the market. I worked with photographers to art direct the packaging photos. The packaging features a stylized photo of the product in-use and step by step instructions for how to use it. In addition, the box includes a diecut hole so customers can touch and feel the soft silicone textures that make this product unique.
Focusing on the function of the product, I created and art directed the photos for the PR kit that was sent to 200 beauty and lifestyle influencers to promote the new travel-size Switch. The press kit includes colorful eyeshadows and imagery to emphasize the products’ superiority in removing any color pigment from brushes.
In addition to the packaging, I created a versatile display made of paperboard. The display includes an adhesive backer to allow for a more compact design for ease of shipping. The cavities for each product were designed to accommodate a variety of brushes and palettes to allow retailers the opportunity to customize their specific assortment.
